Sony plans on continued support for the PS3 after the PS4 launches.

Sony executives revealed they have no plans for stopping support of the PS3 this holiday season when the next-gen PS4 launches. They leaked this information to Japanese gaming magazine Weekly Famitsu in a interview this week. Another nite of intrest to gamers from that interview is the fact that only one PS Plus membership per console will be required for online play. This is a nice notion seeing that the single account will allow full access for the whole family. Thx Sony!

Xbox One Headset reportedly not coming in box with console.

It was reported by Microsoft yesterday that the standard chat headset for the Xbox One will not be bundled together with the console at launch this holiday season. This is a surprise to many due to the fact that many Xbox 360 console came with a headset. I am surprised myself because of the $499 price point on the Xbox and the fact that Sony it including one in the box on the PS4 for $399. For more info on this check out one of my favorite sites @ http://www.engadget.com/2013/06/26/xbox-one-chat-headset/ Until next time game on!

This move does not surprise me following the backlash from the gaming community and seems a good correction to a move that could have resulted in them losing the next console war. While their are other issues such a its Kinect requirement and higher price point, I think Microsoft has taken a good step forward.
